Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam Grant, who is a frequent columnist for the New York Times and professor at the Wharton School. The book explains how to cultivate creativity and move good ideas forward, using engaging stories and research to illustrate its points. My favorite insight is that procrastination isn’t necessarily a bad thing (since this is something I am guilty of).

What is your dream job?

My current job. Being paid to engage with talented students, create new knowledge in my field, and dedicate time to issues that are important to me (currently, analyzing ways to improve energy efficiency in supply chains), is truly a dream.

What is your favorite website?

I have to admit I have been spending too much time lately on websites related to the upcoming presidential election. My favorite is Vox.com since it offers more in-depth commentary and the occasional sprinkle of humor.

Being Mortal by Atul Gawande and Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari. I work for a med device company. Being Mortal is a book written by a surgeon. It discusses the limitations and failures of modern medicine in the final years of life. Modern Romance is about the funny realities of Tinder dating and a complete contrast to Atul’s writing.

What is your dream job?

I lived and worked in Singapore over the last two years. I LOVED growing the healthcare market in Asia. My dream job is to lead the Asia Pacific region for a healthcare company.

What is your favorite website?

Amazon. I work with emerging markets and travel 50 percent of the time. I do a lot of shopping (birthday presents, amenities, groceries) with Amazon as a result. I get home, pick up my packages, order last-minute items from Prime Now, and feel a bit more organized as a result.

I’m currently reading Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. I’m working my way through all of his novels.

What is your dream job?

Right now I’m still deciding on my major, but my dream job definitely involves company ownership. I also think it would be really cool to open up a restaurant. I’m always out trying new foods, and the restaurant business seems like it would be very exciting to have on the side.

What is your favorite website?

The Verge. It has countless articles about pop culture, science, technology, and art. The posts are just long enough to get me through a ride on the Connector.
